Well, I started this whole thing by thinking about getting into the trucking business. I wanted to do a walkaway lease purchase, and the first step was to figure out which companies were around me.
I fired up my computer and started doing some online searches. I typed in all sorts of keywords like “trucking companies near me” and “walkaway lease purchase trucking”. I was scrolling through pages and pages of results, making a list of the ones that seemed promising.
After that, I started reaching out. I gave a bunch of these companies a call. I asked them all kinds of questions, like what their lease terms were, how much the down payment was, and what kind of trucks they had. Some of the people on the phone were really nice and helpful, but others were just in a hurry to get me off the line.
Then, I decided to visit a few of these companies in person. I hopped in my car and drove around to their offices. When I got there, I got to see the trucks up close. I checked out the cabs, the engines, and all that. I also talked to some of the drivers who were there. They told me about their experiences with the company, the good and the bad.
I took notes on everything I saw and heard. I compared the different companies based on things like the cost, the truck quality, and the support they offered. It was a lot of work, but I wanted to make the right choice.
Finally, after all that research and checking around, I found a company that I felt good about. Their trucks were in great shape, the lease terms were fair, and the people there seemed really friendly. I signed the papers and got myself a truck. Now I’m out on the road, doing my thing and making money. It wasn’t easy to find the right company, but it was totally worth it in the end.
