Well, I’ve always been into the trucking business. I wanted to find the best trucking company to lease – purchase from. So, I started this whole journey.
First, I began by making a list. I jotted down all the trucking companies I’d ever heard of. There were quite a few, like Swift, CR England, and Werner. I mean, these names were just floating around in the trucking world, so I thought they’d be a good starting point.
Then, I hit the road, literally. I went to truck stops and talked to other truckers. I asked them, “Hey, which company is the best to lease – purchase from?” Some of them were really chatty. One guy told me that Swift had a lot of work, but the lease – purchase terms were a bit tough. Another said CR England had good support but the trucks were a bit old.
After that, I did some online research. I went through forums and read reviews. There were a ton of comments, both good and bad. I was like a detective, trying to find the real deal. I found out that Werner had a pretty good reputation for fair lease – purchase agreements, but some drivers complained about long – distance hauls.
I also reached out to the companies directly. I called their sales reps and asked a bunch of questions. How much was the down payment? What were the monthly payments? Were there any hidden fees? It was like a job interview, but I was the one interviewing them.
Once I had all this information, I sat down and compared. I made a spreadsheet, not a fancy one, just a simple one on my laptop. I listed the pros and cons of each company. For example, one company offered a lower down payment but higher monthly payments, while another had a higher down payment but a more flexible lease term.
Finally, after all this hard work, I made my decision. I chose a company that seemed to offer the best balance of cost, support, and truck quality. I signed the lease – purchase agreement, and now I’m on the road with my own leased truck. It wasn’t an easy journey, but I’m happy with the result. And I hope my story can help you if you’re in the same boat.
